Don't be scared - it's just ghostbusting school. The ParAcademy is hosting its first-ever Paranormal Retreat and Ghost Hunting Certification Weekend at General Butler State Park Sept. 28 and 29 (2007).

Starr and Jessi Chaney of PsyTech, a paranormal investigating team based in Nicholasville, launched the program to assist those wishing to become certified as ghost hunters.

The retreat includes "Ghost Hunter" certification, private ghost hunts at the historic Butler-Turpin House and Butler family cemetery, demonstrations on the use of dowsing for ghost hunting, a past-life memory recall session, plus mini-classes such as "Meditation and Psychic Self Defense."

Registration deadline is September 12.
